2009 (It's not possible to stand in the same place where the top picture was taken. The thin strip of bushes and trees to the left grew where the tracks were located..)

An interesting detail in the older photo (other than the man walking on the left) are the smokestacks of  the kilns in the West Point brick yard. The guardrail on West Point Pike between the train tracks and Moyer Boulevard was installed by the Lehigh Valley Transit Company in January of 1916.
